Big adventures are more fun when everyone can enjoy them safely. Before joining the Waggin' Express, every pup needs to meet a few basic requirements designed to help keep the entire pack happy and safe.
To join a Willow's Waggin' Express playdate, dogs must:
Be at least 4 months old
Be spayed or neutered
Be up to date on all required vaccinations
Show no signs or history of aggression toward people or other dogs
Complete a meet and greet before joining the pack
Wear a properly fitted harness while riding aboard the Waggin' Express
Not every dog loves group play, and that's okay! Our playdates are designed for dogs who are comfortable around other dogs and can safely enjoy a social, group environment.
Every new pup will complete a meet and greet before joining their first group playdate. This gives us a chance to get to know your dog, see how they respond to a new person and environment and make sure the Waggin' Express is a good fit for them.
Meet and greets may be completed on the day of your pup's first scheduled playdate after all required paperwork has been submitted, provided enough time has been arranged in advance.
Completing a meet and greet does not guarantee that every dog will be a good fit for group play. If we don't think your pup will be comfortable or safe in the group, we'll always put their wellbeing and the safety of the pack first.
Dogs are dogs, and even friendly pups can occasionally disagree.
Playdates are actively supervised so we can watch interactions and step in when someone needs a break. If dogs are not getting along safely, they will be separated immediately. A secure kennel is available to provide a separate space when needed while the situation is assessed and the pet parent is contacted if necessary.
We also reserve the right to end a dog's playdate or determine that group play is not the right fit if their behavior creates a safety concern for themselves, another dog or their human attendant.
Every dog riding the Waggin' Express is required to wear a properly fitted harness. Our goal is to make the entire experience, from pickup to playtime to the ride home, as safe and comfortable as possible.
We'll cover more about riding the shuttle, harness requirements, pickup and drop-off in our Waggin' Express FAQ.
If There Is An Emergency
Every pet parent will be asked to provide current contact information, an emergency contact and their dog's veterinarian information before their first playdate.
If a dog becomes sick or injured while in our care, the owner will be contacted as quickly as possible. When veterinary attention is necessary, appropriate veterinary care will be sought and the dog's veterinary information will be available to help coordinate their care.
The safety of the dog in need and the rest of the pack will always guide how an emergency is handled.
